Long-term equity options traded on the CBOE with expirations of up to thirty-nine months distant (although in practice usually no more than 30 months hence). LEAPS are available on a number of blue chip (large capitalization) stocks. Work much the same as other equity options, but are not as time sensitive and tend to have a larger premium (price).
